{"id":4149,"date":"2016-04-29T14:37:30","date_gmt":"2016-04-29T19:37:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/52.15.223.162\/?p=4149"},"modified":"2016-04-29T14:39:41","modified_gmt":"2016-04-29T19:39:41","slug":"museum-in-need-of-docents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/highskywing.org\/?p=4149","title":{"rendered":"Museum in Need of Docents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/52.15.223.162\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/MAAFMlogo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4126 aligncenter\" alt=\"MAAFMlogo\" src=\"http:\/\/52.15.223.162\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/MAAFMlogo-300x138.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"138\" srcset=\"http:\/\/highskywing.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/MAAFMlogo-300x138.jpg 300w, http:\/\/highskywing.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/MAAFMlogo.jpg 326w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The April Wing Meeting took place last night and the highlight was a tour of our wonderful Midland Army Air Field Museum. \u00a0Members became familiar with exhibits and artifacts during an educational tour led by <strong>Brent Collins<\/strong>, who was one of the prime &#8220;movers and shakers&#8221; in getting our museum off the ground&#8230;so to speak.<\/p>\n<p>The museum is open every Saturday from 10:00 am &#8211; 3:00 pm, and the tour was held to help recruit new docents. \u00a0Opening and closing procedures were covered, as were topics to address with our visitors, including encouraging donations. \u00a0Currently <strong>H.A.
