Here are some shots from Tuesday:
Here’s a sample of what you will see at our annual AIRSHO. A flight of T-6 Texans led by a Beech SNB. Local High Sky Wing pilots are: Sam Strahan in 135, Bill Coombes in 24, James Martin in the Twin Beech, Lance Sommers in 101, and Daniel Rathbun piloting the camera plane, with Parker Rathbun as photographer. Look for these planes in the skies over the Midland-Odessa area during 2018, and during AIRSHO (dates have yet to be determined). In this video they were practicing a banana pass over the Mabee ranch on a “hot and bumpy” day, according to Coombes.

Special thanks to those unsung heroes who fly the plane and work the ramp, enduring the cold and wind to ensure that our customers are well cared for. Bruce Day gets his usual accolades for climbing up on the T-28 innumerable times for cockpit tours. His legs will be hurting today 🙂
The third annual Christmas Night Flight program got off to a good start last night when reporters from the big three TV networks had the opportunity to fly the evening skies over west Texas. Their reports go a long way toward making our event a success and we thank them for their participation.
